Putting on the Ritz 2010

Another great show this year! I had a great time participating, even if I was exhausted. We practiced about 4-5 days a week in the three weeks prior to the show! In between school, cheerleader practice, fundraisers, and show practice, I was SOO tired. Little baby also might have had something to do with it. But it's hard for me to sit idly anyway.

The theme this year was "Hooray for Hollywod," and all of the numbers featured songs from famous movies, old and young. In our opening number, all the cast dressed as one famous Hollywood icon. I got to be Audrey Hepburn! (and that name has really grown on me...Audrey...)

It was great to have some of the old faces in the show, but we got several new people as well. Christy, we missed you! Maybe next year. We can both drag our babies in on our hips and jump around and lose baby weight.

Nine Weeks Update

Just finished reading Baby Center about what's going on in my uterus this week! I think the tail is officially gone, yay! Here's what it has to say:

How your baby's growing:Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.

Anyway, I can't believe I've been pregnant for over two months now. Still no sickness, although I do experience mild nausea when I have an empty stomach. I've used this Spring Break for a LOT of resting, reading, and sunning. I was so tired of everyone telling me, "You look tired." That is NOT a compliment, okay? Pregnant or not. It's what they think is a nice way of saying that you look like crap. Anyway, I blame the "tired" look on my paleness so I laid out Monday and almost got burnt. At least I'm not pale anymore. I wonder if this baby will have Troy's coloring or mine? Hmmm...just have to wait and see! I also wonder how much it will weigh at birth...Troy was a NINE-POUNDER!!! I certainly hope that's not the case here!

Look who else is pregnant with me:
Heather Kinman Manry, Hartford (boy)
Christy Bozeman, Greenville (finding out today!)
Jana Ealum, Georgiana (girl)
Mindy Brannon Turner, Hartford (Boy)
Shannon Outlaw Stewart, Hartford (Boy)
Melisa Campbell, Greenville/Ft. Deposit, (girl)
Angela Outlaw House, Jacksonville (Rodney's daughter)--due the same day as me!!! Mom and Rodney will be busy grandparents!
Justin Dungan's (Troy's nephew), Greenville (girl)--okay, his girlfriend..
I can't think of who else, but I'm exicted! Little Parker will have plenty of friends to play with! Chinese baby calenday says it's a boy...I don't care which--I just hope it's healthy (I really want a girl)! Please watch video below! Liv posted it on Christy's wall a while back, and it's hilarious!

Baby Stinson is on its way!

It's finally happened! We're having a baby! I'm due around November 17 so that makes me right at 8 weeks preggo! We are both very excited--today's doctor's appointment made it seem much more real.

I went in for my first checkup and they did a regular ultrasound and an internal ultrasound, which allowed us to really see the baby and the heart beating! It was amazing! She said it was a good, strong heartbeat which is all we wanted to hear. Then she turned on the volume and we could hear it. I was very relieved. Sometimes I feel like it's too good to be true. I have been feeling things all along, since about 4 weeks. It' felt like a very mild cramping. They explained that it's my uterus growing.

Anyway, I found out right at around 3 1/2 weeks (on Wednesday). I just had a weird feeling and had had an upset stomach for three days. So I went to CVS and bought Pepto, pregnancy test, and acid reflux medicine! I took the pregnancy test first just on a hunch, and immediately a positive result showed! I was so happy! When Troy got home, I gave him a little present--my baby shoes from when I was (duh) a baby. He teared up and hugged me!

Then mom & Rodney and Mrs. Janice came up that Sunday and went to church with us. Right before lunch, I gave mama the same present and it took her a while to get it. But then she squealed and did a little jump! I know she is so excited. It will be her first grandbaby.

So far, I've had no morning sickness! Just feeling tired...but I have been going, going, going. Cheer practice, Ritz practice, and just standing on my feet all day. But I don't mind! I told Troy that the pampering needs to start now--foot massages, playing with my hair, letting me nap without seeming lazy...
Lots of folks are pregnant with me! Little Parker will have so many sweet friends to play with! I like to make lists of everyone I know who's preggo, but I won't list it here. Now it's time for bed.
Goodnight little Jellybean! We love you and are praying for you!
